Envision the whole; chisel one useful slice
Think like a sculptor: hold the intended shape in mind. Spend time envisioning the experience and sketching an adjustable roadmap; then chip away one small, reviewable part at a time. Evidence can change the image, not just the next cut.
- Envisionthe experience and constraints
- Mapthe route; now / later / unknown
- Chiselone useful end-to-end slice
- Reviewthe result in its real tool
- Hand offstate and one next cut
| Need to know | Make first | Do not infer |
|---|---|---|
| Does it sound/feel right? | Signal path and real playback/interaction. | A passing code test means a readable instrument. |
| Will a character work? | Reference/proxy, then rig/pose, then shot. | A pretty mesh is an approved moving character. |
| Can output be reused? | A small contract and one real consumer. | Similar vocabulary means drop-in compatibility. |
| Can AI be trusted here? | Boundaries, legal actions and a human gate. | A plausible answer is a verified state change. |
A bounded request with a cold handoff
"Read the canonical status and constraints. Restate the intended whole. This slice is [one observable result]; not [excluded work]. Compare two small approaches, build the chosen one and verify [pass condition] in the real tool. Leave exact versions/paths, checks, decisions, local-only state and one next slice so a fresh session can continue without this chat."
Adapt the AI budget: choose sufficient model effort and focused context; deepen when needed. Judge tokenomics by cost per verified result, including retries and parallel work, not token price alone. Check actual plan/product billing. Savings remain unmeasured.
